We all love it when God uses other people’s strengths to get us where He wants us, but it’s much more difficult when He uses their weaknesses to do it. With an eternal perspective we clearly see that God can and will use anything and anyone to accomplish His purposes in our lives.
Most everyone at some point in time will have to deal with the weaknesses of another person. It could be a co-worker who is overly difficult, a loved one who struggles with sickness or disease, a mate who is prideful, a family member who is lost, or a spiritual leader who is immature, just to name a few. It is during these moments that we lose focus and can overlook what God is trying to accomplish in us. The enemy wants to use these moments to push us into the flesh causing us to react to our circumstances instead being transformed in humility to God’s Holy purpose. Yet finding God in these difficult moments is vital to our physical and spiritual health. We shouldn’t get upset if He uses someone’s weakness to do the job. If we focus on God’s strength as opposed to their weakness, then we’ll receive the blessing without the burden of resentment.
2 Corinthians 12:10
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
