I have a confession to make. I love to pray! No, I really do love to pray. I know for some, prayer is boring or even awkward, but I really love to pray. You want to know why? Because when prayer is done the right way, it is the catalyst to open up the super-natural realm and it causes great miracles to take place! The ministry of intercession is such an important but neglected calling. And even for the ones that do fulfill this calling, they often moan, groan, and weep during their prayer time and come away more depressed and defeated before they started. Why? They never come into a position of faith when they pray. There was a time in my life I would spend long hours in diligent prayer (ahem…worry). Even though my heart was sincere, my mindset was wrong. I spent a lot of time in prayer, but very little of it was in faith and I had very few fruits to show for it. But that kind of praying is not the way of the Master. Jesus taught us to pray in faith. In Mark 11:23 Jesus said, “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” Wow! Now that is a different kind of prayer. That is a different way of seeing life. The most important thing about praying is to pray with the mind of Christ. Jesus taught that nothing is impossible to the person who has faith. The scriptures goes so far as to say, “It is impossible to please God without faith.”
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours
I know as I am writing this I will find opposition from some believers who say I am abusing the faith message and what I am saying is untrue. That is fine, they can think and say whatever they want because I’m not talking to them. I am talking to that individual who the Holy Spirit is right at this moment gripping your heart and confirming God’s truth. The fact is, God has placed a deep desire inside you to desire the impossible. I want to stir your faith today to begin to pray for big things, even impossible things. I want to fan a spark deep within you that will re-ignite an old passion you use to have, but the enemy stole it from you. Jesus warned us to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. I want to warn you too, there will be religious people who think you are weird, out there, even a heretic! But don’t you concern yourself with that because you are in good company. The religious people said it about Jesus our Master, too, because the religious mind embrace God in theory, but the supernatural experience with God is completely removed.
Pray hard, declare your victory in Jesus Christ, rebuke infirmities and diseases, and agree with God!
